Hello, I’m Cara

My journey began in the flourishing world of graphic and web design, where I discovered my knack for creating digital experiences that are both visually engaging and strategically aligned with clients' business goals. Each project provided an opportunity to combine creativity with purpose, but what truly sparked my passion was the human side of design—helping people. Whether delving into the motivations of potential customers or solving everyday problems through thoughtful user-centred design, I found immense fulfilment in creating meaningful connections.

Recently, I took a significant step forward by earning a degree in Digital Experience and Interaction Design. This milestone wasn’t just an academic achievement; it reflected my commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead in an ever-evolving industry. Combined with the technical expertise and soft skills I’ve cultivated over the years, this accomplishment has become a pillar of my success in the digital design space.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with prominent brands, both in Australia and abroad. Working with names like Gloria Jeans Coffees, Black and White Cabs, and Fintech Australia has refined my skills and broadened my perspective on how design can drive business impact. Whether leading in-house teams or managing remotely, I’ve come to appreciate the power of consistent and open communication in achieving collective success.

Beyond work, life has been a rich and fulfilling adventure. My partner and I share a passion for exploration, immersing ourselves amongst cultures, and seeking out new experiences, including museum and art gallery visits, reading thought-provoking books, watching performances and films, and exploring both traditional and modern cuisines. 2023 allowed us to balance work and study while travelling across South America, a journey that taught us invaluable lessons. In 2024, we spent six months exploring South Africa and Spain, expanding our global perspectives further. Along the way, we embraced learning new languages, collaborating online with international teams, and gaining fresh insights into the world.

Personally, I’m intrigued by emerging technologies such as AR, VR, AI, and BCI. I love to ideate solutions that leverage these innovations to address real-world social, health, and environmental challenges. I’m even developing a course on BCI design for product designers, as I believe this may be the next significant technological revolution after AI.

Motivated by a love of learning new things and a strong fascination with science and technology, I continually expand my skills and abilities. My keen attention to detail ensures my work is accurate, aligned with goals, and consistently of high quality. My unique eye for balance in design, combined with an amplified need to solve problems creatively, drives my passion for design in all its forms.
